| ENVIRONMENT AND ECONOMY: A PERFECT COMBINATION | |
The use of natural resources should be framed under sustainable policies that benefit today's society , bringuing no harm the future of coming generations . This poses a challenge : to seek a balance between sustainable use of the planet's resources and actively respond to the needs that concern the economic agents . This is sustainable development! Portugal has truly privileged conditions for the production of clean energy , such as wind and solar that represent over 70 % of domestic energy production , leaving less and less dependence on fossil fuels , as well as being pollutants aggravate the national trade balance. With over 300 days of sunshine per year would be a waste not to use this power in our favor. In addition to the actions of social and environmental responsibility usually adopted by companies , namely harness solar energy is a strategic opportunity that the various actors , private and public , should fit within its management. In a fully globalized economy, this option may also become a competitive factor and differentiation preferred by consumers.
In this perspective, accepting that the "Mother Nature" gives us, we implemented at our facilities, a solar energy collection system. A set of 102 photovoltaic panels that make up a total area of approximately 168m2 .
An installed power of 24.5 kW at the service of our labors and energy needs while undertaking technical assistance services, allowing conquer, little by little, greater energy self-sufficiency .
An investment for the future that responds positively to environmental sustainability and economic needs . A perfect combination that feeds us day after day .
